The University of Calicut has played a lead role and has set an exemplary benchmark in the field of e-Governance in recent years. e-Governance is considered as a key to better governance. The Calicut University Computer Centre (CUCC) is the Central Hub for ICT related services of the University. With the implementation of various Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) based e-Governance initiatives, the CUCC serves the University for all its ICT needs. The initiatives certainly supported the delivery of the most transparent, efficient, and cost-effective services for its stakeholders.

We aim to empower the students, faculty members and administrative staff to access the services of the University anywhere and anytime at their fingertips by transforming the University into an inclusive digital and paperless institution thus contributing to overall development of the society.

Our major digital services including Centralized Admission Processing, Examination related activities of the Pareeksha Bhavan, Payroll and Finance Management System CUFIN are developed and maintained by its in-house software development team.

Apart from this, essential ICT services including e-Payment Gateway, Campus LAN, Wi-Fi, Surveillance System, Biometric Punching System and Data Centre facilities are also monitored and maintained by the CUCC. The Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI) based Virtualization and Private Cloud System powered by solar UPS, recently commissioned by the University to host the major e-Governance Services and e-Learning services offered by the University, is a distinctive achievement.

In the wake of unprecedented COVID-19 surge, the University have introduced a Digital Students Service Centre - SUVEGA to help all its stakeholders of the University.

The University has received Kerala State e-Governance Award in 2011-13 under the category of e-Governance Leader. The University is now in the process of implementing an exclusive digital master plan aimed at implementing digital services that can transform the University into complete digital and paperless institution.
